It seems to be done by the Etrian Odyssey Team, they may be more comfortable with the 3DS hardware.

That's a cool idea but this is the first ever Persona game on a Nintendo platform if I'm remembering correctly.

At least they're announcing more stuff. Persona-flavored Etrian Odyssey could be really cool.

But meh, a spinoff fan service game on the 3DS. No thanks, Atlus.

It is not even a "real" persona, it is Etrian Odyssey with a Persona skin


Of course it's not a "real" Persona, that's why he called it a spin off. Persona 4 Arena is nothing more than BlazBlue with a Persona skin either, and that's a spin off too, so yeah.

Anyway, Persona Q is quite a big deal, since it's the first Persona related title to be available on a Nintendo System ever. That has been quite a long while for the series to not grace Nintendo systems, and we'll see if this game being exclusive (I still can't believe that, no matter if spin off or not) says anything about the future of the series on Nintendo systems. I'm not proposing that the series will transfer over to Nintendo (It won't), but having a few games on Nintendo systems as well would be quite nice.

I mean, heck, every Persona game up until now was released on a PlayStation of some sort. This, or so it seems, will be the first exception to the rule.
