First off, this will be a short & subjective but unbiased honest analysis, based on my personal tastes. I will entirely ignore what console they are designed for, but focus purely on the games. Some of those games, I have personally played even if momentarily (mostly PS4 because it is out), others I have not yet played because I didn't have access to, so they will be based on observations and history so far...
Killzone Shadow Fall
This is visually a breathtaking game and awesome in many aspects but I am not a big fan of the KZ gameplay, and this is no exception. I'd probably either rent the game, and/or buy it used or after a price drop.
Knack
This game seems to have some issues and It's not quite in the ballpark as Crash Bandiccot games. I didn't have much time playing it, only a few minutes, but I believe it's good enough for me to keep a copy, probably a used one or after a price drop. The graphics and attention to detail are amazing, a big plus.
Resogun
Looks cool, but I am just too jaded with this kind of games after playing a legion of them when I was kid. I think I am passed this stage.
Need for Speed Rivals
I love this game. The graphs on both consoles are solid (but not really impressive). I didn't see the XB1 version directly but I doubt there is any significant difference between two versions for an EA game at this stage (given that they both run 1080p 30 fps). However, I am not sure if I would pay $60 for this just because I have almost the complete roster of NFS, mostly on PC & Playstations.
Forza 5
Let's be honest, visuals are great, but they are not next-gen great, and quite underwhelming. They are basically more polished, and higher res version of Forza 4. Still, the gameplay and visuals look good enough for me, and being a Forza fan, this would be a day one purchase for me if I had an XB1. This is why I am camping in my friends house as soon as he gets his preordered XB1.
CoD Ghosts
I seriously had enough CoD, it simply seems to be the same thing again and again, which doesn't mean it's bad, but I had it before. Damn it, I am still curious. The updated graphics also look great on TV, so I'll probably borrow from a friend or rent it later when I actually have a PS4. I am sure the XB1 version will be good enough but why not play the superior version how small / big the difference may be, right?
Battlefield 4
This is one game series I never played. I didn't see it live either, but from my observations, it seems pretty good, at least with an open world online play. They will soon install a few PS4 on campus, great for mini tournaments around, then we'll see.Oh the graphs also look good, better than CoD Ghosts.
Ryse
Visuals look somewhere between impressive and good, depending on what you expect. I didn't have a live chance but I have seen major inconsistencies with the gameplay and possible framerate drops in addition to only 720p. For the launch line up, none of this would really bother me as the game would still be a major leap from the previous gen, but the gameplay is concerning. This kind of games start with some really nice action scenes and immersive features but rapidly the action sequences and game design become very repetitive, and gets boring. I'd have to play it at a Friend's first and see how I'd like it.
