Forums - Microsoft - I crave Halo 5... (reminder, 2014!)

I really crave a Halo game, not least because I'd love to see an Xbox exclusive FPS to really see what the console can do.

The ESRAM bandwidth is the Xbone's greatest technical advantage and it's possible it will take exclusives, especially first party ones, to really show what it can do.

For a little snippet, I did used to have some rumor connections (I was one of the first to know true PS4/X1 specs for example) and one of my sources told me Halo was looking great, and that basically any effect the designers were throwing at the GPU, the GPU was handling without a problem.

Sure it could be hyperbole, but still fun to speculate over. 343i, unlike Bungie, has proven they really push hardware.

The great thing is as a 2014 title we should be seeing footage sooner than later! For examplre both Reach and Halo 4, footage/screens started showing up like in February of the year they released if I recall.

I also miss Gears of War a lot :( These two titles total absence are really hurting X1.

You don't have to remind me! Halo is one of the franchises I keep on top of.

Forge better be a massive step forward and they better have all gametypes available for customs.
Can't believe they only had one flying vehicle in H4... still shocks me

Yeah I dont even know if I trust the one guy who told me that LOL. But it's fun to get the juices flowing.

1080P/60 FPS is going to make it hard for them to make the graphics as impressive as possible, it's a built in handicap.

This game is going to be nutz. I'm betting this is why they waited to launch these games. To not rush them, make them fun to play and good to look at. I rather they give it a year, so they have time to work out the hardware. Even then they won't have it all figured out. That's why the constant Talk about specs at this point don't matter because we haven't even scratched the surface.
