Forums - Gaming - Why a game with a lower review score could be better

I think there is a place for a rating system, but it has to be cleared up and standardised. the criteria keeps changing all the time for every game for every platform.
Yes there will always be a difference in opinion but if every reviewer uses a standardised system of rating, the only difference in scores will be the difference in personal opinion and thats where metacritic would be useful, to see which opinions are grouped and which are isolated.

I'd like to see a Rotten Tomatoes for video games, which mainly takes into account whether or not a review is positive and negative. They also specify top reviewers, which is nice.

wow....I thought i might maintain the peace by not mentioning games and now apparently this is all about PS4.

let me clear it up....ive only seen 1 ps4 review for 1 game (resogun), so its definately not about that.

Its about many games and as I mentioned first, I have wanted to post this for a long time. Today I read a certain post on Gran Turismo and made me want to finally post this.
GT should not be penalised for adding cars ported from PS2 because even if you exclude them, it has more premium cars than most other racing games on the PS3, or other platforms.

GAH ! You don´t review games like a car, they are a piece of entertainment ! Could the addition of ugly PS2 cars lead to content bloat, inconsistency in models and therefore to a lesser experience for an individual ? YES, we are talking about opinions (thats what reviews are !).

More is not always better.

I'm so confused.
