#40: Tenchu: Stealth Assassins (PS1)

I love the stealth genre in its many forms and Tenchu is a remarkable entry into the genre. First, you get to play as a ninja, that's already pretty damn cool. Then even though the game's scoring system rewards stealth above all, you're allowed to make mistakes and your character is skilled enough in one on one combat to survive a miscalculated stealth kill. Tenchu offers you a wide variety of tools associated with ninja lore like shurikens, smoke bombs, grappling hook and of course poisoned rice (okay maybe not that frequent in ninja stories but so fun to use!).

Best not to leave Shadow behind, honestly.

I just saw the first clue and yes it's a very easy hint. Final Fantasy III(VI). Dancing Mad is a masterpiece.

#39: Mario Kart Wii (Wii)

Nothing brings the cursing and swearing like a local 4 player game of Mario Kart but it's also tons of fun. Mario Kart Wii was no exception, with exciting new tracks and 16 retro tracks this game is packed with kart driving good time. The battle mode is sub-par since I really don't like the team setup but having 12 racers instead of 8, the inclusion of bikes, some fun new powerups and the ability to do a 32-courses mega circuit really help make this a memorable title.

Bingo.

It's the only FF game on my list, but there are certainly a few more Sqauresoft RPGs ahead. Particularly in my top 25...
