I think they actually made good initial choices for the exhibit, apparently it took over a year of debate to settle on these. There are 26 more to come if I'm understanding correctly. This is the kind of good press video games could use to balance out all the other nonsense.
Also, the last bit about why shooters weren't included is pretty funny. It is true that few shooters truly differentiate themselves in ways that aren't mechanical or multiplayer oriented.
Eve Online surprised me, it does look beautiful though. I think I'm gonna go check out the exhibit soon.
Thoughts? Any gripes with the games included or criteria?
