I'm still watching it, but traditionally I've done more gold than silver.

My dad buys silver, has a heck of a lot, about 100k's worth.

Asset bubbles of a different sort. Gold buyers got burned recently after a huge run on gold prices after the recession, which formed a mini-bubble-burst and now the gold buying craze is a shadow of its former self. You're buying into something whose only real value is its use as a conductor, and the rest is all just as imagined as paper money.

I'd like to get some silver considering Vikings valued silver the most.
