Seriously, the internet is flourishing - as a median to express peoples freedom of speech, I understand that, and I support that, however.
What the fuck is it with people on the internet these days? Every damn trailer that I visit for either COD or BF I see people droning on and on about how one franchise is better than the other? I've been playing BF since the BF2 games and always thought as the audience a bit more mature than the small petty comments such as "BF is for the real men blah blah blah". Every. Motherfucking. Video has some kids squabbling about which franchise is better, like seriously don't these people have anything better to do than leave petty shitty little comments like that? And don't get me started on the console rivalry that has been occurring both on this site and the internet, like who gives a fuck anymore which console is better? You buy it to enjoy it, not to go on the internet and declare your fandom, supported with numerous graphs and some fucking metacritic reviews. I think that the gaming has taken a turn for the worse, the community is a lot more toxic and the hardcore fans are just disgusting to watch, not just as fanboys, but as human beings.
Don't get me wrong, I like BF, but I also like COD, and whereas I did think at one point that battlefield have catered to a more mature audience, I think the community has degraded to the level of that of Runescape - The motherfucking runescape that I've played 10 years ago, where people can "buy gf" and scam like little shitbags.
What the hell is wrong with the people today? Have they trully got nothing better to do than to wave their e-dicks around on the internet, is the recession really that bad that instead of going to work and enjoying a nice quiet gaming session after work, people would spend all day trolling the forums and other fans for their preferences? Discuss.
