Forums - Sony - psvita support for the ps4 changed it seems.

The fact that local in-home wifi might be the only way to play without problems makes me think that the connectivity isn't going to be the saving grace a lot of people thought it would be. All your games on the go is one thing, but just playing all your games in the same house but on a different screen isn't incredibly impressive. My expectations for the Vita went up at E3, but now they're sort of dwindling again.

It will still be possible to play via wifi from external networks, providing your routing allows it, i should also point out that the most popular version of the vita is the Wifi model.

Can't wait to play the Playroom on my PSVita :^)
