Finally at home to take a look at them numbers, you guys probably already saw this, but I want to vent and don't want to post on the results thread.
DS finally dead, it only sold around 20k units the whole fiscal year, did Nintendo ever announced the official discontinuation of the hf?
DS on software is still rather impressive however, nearly 4m of units shipped 10 years after release is nothing to sneeze at.
Wii as well dying off, less than half a millon for the whole fiscal year, still pushing a lot of software however close to 12m for the whole fiscal year.
I'm going to focus on Wii and DS as you've probably know everything regarding their successors, I'm happy to answer questions so don't be shy!
Software, some Nintendo published Wii games are still selling somehow.
Mario Kart Wii shipped nearly 1m units since March 31st 2014 (all updates are since then) why is that game still selling!?
Both NSMBW and SSBB shipped over 500k units in the same timeframe as well, titles as Wii Sports Resort and the first Galaxy both shipped around 300k (I believe all these titles are Nintendo Selects so there's that I guess) even Wii Sports and Wii Fit Plus shipped a couple of 100k units, its very impressive for games that old to keep selling.
Not much to say on DS, some games like NSMB and Mario Kart are still selling but those are only on the tens of thousands, not quite as impressive.
