Lol, I've litarally punched my gamepad at times out of frustration and it still works. :p

I once bit my 3DS screen because of that stupid level in the last House of Luigi's Mansion (the one with the BS invisible time limit). Never touched the game since then.

I have issues.

You don't even wanna hear about my rage quits.

It's nowhere near as dramatic as my situation was in December when my Wii U cooler decided to stop working, thus leading the console to overheat everytime it was on for over 5 minutes (and I think the overheats led to some permanent damage as it has performed slightly worse ever since). And, you know, there's no official Nintendo support where I live, so it's not like I could do a lot - and even if there was, I think they wouldn't accept my Wii U as I bought the NA Wind Waker edition instead of getting the one that was officially released here.

Regardless, I think you didn't really need to send your Wii U for repairs. All you had to do was blow on the GamePad - Nintendo things love to get blowed, they always work perfectly again after you do it.

How did you even fix that?

Trust me, I tried everything. I looked it up and every single thread about it had people not finding solutions. I even moved my console multiple times, moved the place I plugged it in, tried just playing on my GamePad right in front of my TV but that was incredibly uncomfortable so I just said fuck it. There's no way I'm playing games like XCX, Splatoon and Fatal Frame like that. I'd rather just pay the money now than deal with it for even longer.

Sorry, I can be a bit...dramatic at times.

It's not the worst sitatuation. Really, I should have done this forever ago. Feels good to finally get it done. In the mean time, my 3DS will just get some extra love.

So you were never able to get it fixed? Does that mean it still overheats? :/

I'd recommend getting it sent for repairs though since temporary fixes are, well, temporary. Better to get it fixed up so you can use it without any further issues

You have to pay for the repairs? Aww.

My 3DS was once damaged by water, but the store I bought it from repaired it for free even though it isn't covered by the warranty. I didn't mention it was damaged by water though. :p

Yes I do mean the original, Returns is great got it on Wii when it came out, would've been exponentially better if I was able to do everything with buttons but fun nonetheless.

From what've heard the 3DS port is kind of butchered, don't have a 3DS anyway, was going to pick up one last year but then the new one got announced so will be waiting for some time.

Although rather than the original Diddy's Kong Quest that one's way better.

I think that your only chance/hope to do that relies on Nintendo making a unified OS for both consoles next gen and that they don't forget about the Virtua Console.

Alternatively... you could get a PSP or Vita and play it on an emulator. It's cheating, I know, but it's an option.

And why isn't anyone excited about Hal Labs potentially making Pokemon Snap 2?

Because it's a niche game with little followers. Nintendo has lots of those games and fans.

Me for example, I'm still waiting on a new Endless Ocean for WiiU that makes use of the GamePad.

Please excuse my bad English.

Currently gaming on a PC with an i5-4670k@stock (for now), 16Gb RAM 1600 MHz and a GTX 1070

Steam / Live / NNID : jonxiquet    Add me if you want, but I'm a single player gamer.

It's a Nintendo console, how do you think I did it? Looked at the cooler and blowed some nice wind in there. BOOM! Instantly working again and so far hasn't stopped since. I had a thread about that. http://gamrconnect.vgchartz.com/thread.php?id=195404&page=1

I think because I let it overheat a few times, something inside got permanently damaged, since I got some minor issues, but it's nothing worth being worried about. Essentially, I started getting framerate drops on chaotic situations in 8-player smash, the SSBU opening video sometimes freezes in a weird way (but it doesn't freeze the game so you can still press A and play normally) and even warawara plaza has framerate drops every now and then. Nothing I hadn't seen before on other people's Wii Us, so whatever. I liked having the "healthy" console, but after the depression of thinking it was gone I'm just glad it works fine.

Edit: hey, you even posted there! How DARE you forget?

Guilty as charged.

I remembered the thread but forgot exactly how you fixed it. Good to know it all worked out though!

Yeah, my warranty was expired and I don't think there was anything the store could've done to fix it. At least they're giving me another 1 year warranty with it though, because there's no way in hell I'm letting this happen again.

Oh yeah that's another game they should make. Oh well, at least Fatal Frame 5 is finally getting localized.
