That was pretty funny. Μαθαίνω ελληνικά.
Reading about all of these people from Europe really makes me want to go there. I'm going to France in about 2015 to improve my French, but I wouldn't mind improving my German, Spanish, or Greek after that.

Oh. I'm learning it. Not fluent yet.
Well I'm from Morocco, it's in North of Africa. aaand we're mostly white..
for the good here:
- Great weather.
- Welcoming and friendly people especially towards foreigners.
Shit things: even two pages won't be enough.
- Shitty government
- Shitty educational, health system
- High exported products price. mainly due to exorbitant taxes.
- Minimum wage of approximately 200$ Monthly...
Ireland:
Good:
1. The People - friendly, welcoming, loquacious, fun loving, melancholic, sentimental, bibulous, eccentric, learned, open, interested, garrulous, sports mad, creative, musical, poetic, decent - the list is endless!
2. The Culture - the music and literature is extraordinary for an island of 6m people. Writers like Joyce,Yeats, Wilde, O'Casey, Heaney, Beckett, Friel, Synge - again the list is endless. 4 nobel laureates for literature from a country our size is an amazing achievement - all the more when one considers that Joyce never won it.
3. The beauty of the Country - We are not known as the Emerald Isle for nothing - while the ruggedness of our western shores, North to South, are breathtaking. It is an island steeped in beauty and history and unique features. For example, the neolithic tomb at Newgrange pre-dates the great pyramids of Egypt.
Bad:
Honestly, I pretty much love everything about this place. Sure we can complain about taxes and politicians and the global financial crisis that hit in 2008 but - what the hell - these are things that are facts of life and, because we only get one chance at this life, we should just dust ourselves down and get on with having a good time.
Canada
3 positive; health care, relatively low crime, lots of great things to visit and see here.
3 negative; taxes, nearly criminal cellphone plans created by the biggest thieves on the planet, no death penalty
One has to think on a macro scale about generous welfare systems. One, these systems tend to pay for themselves in terms of economic stimulus, because money given to the bottom tends to actually be spent, as opposed to more money given to the rich, or even the middle class (the former squirreling it away and the latter using it to pay down debt). Secondly, strong social safety nets help keep the job market from being flooded with needy laborers, allowing wage prices to stay decent and to prevent employers from exploiting desperation, because there is now a point at which you have no economic incentive to work.
Opposition to it seems to merely be emotion-based (I work, why should they not have to) rather than really thinking it through. Ideally we'd all be working, but stagnant markets are the rule of the day for now.

Monster Hunter: pissing me off since 2010.
