Well to take into account then wouldn't the PS3 numbers need to be adjusted again to take into account the NDP data which showed the PS3 sales were higher than tracked on here?

Actually if you want to be picky it's 9.86 to 9.72 because numbers went down 80k when they should have gone up 60k with this week's europe's numbers...
PS3-Xbox360 gap : 1.5 millions and going up in PS3 favor !
PS3-Wii gap : 20 millions and going down !

it was at 9.80 normally with others numbers it should be at 9.86
Actually 9.80 to 9.65, because 9.72 with 64k added. =)
whatever, VG is still making most closest estimates to real WW numbers. =]

Final Fantasy X - around 2 mln. with 5 mln. PS2 on the launch.
Final Fantasy X-2 - 2.4 mln. with 12 mln. PS2 on the launch.
1.8 mln. PS3 today(2008.01.17) in Japan. Now(2009.04.30) 3.16 mln. PS3 were sold in Japan.
PS3 will reach 4 mln. in Japan by the end of 2009 with average weekly sales 25k.
PS3 may reach 5 mln. in Japan by the end of 2009 with average weekly sales 50k.
PS2 2001 vs PS3 2008 sales numbers =) + New games released in Japan by 2009 that passed 100k so far
