Dark_Feanor said: Last Sunday I wen´t to FNAC Morumbi and spent 1 hour looking at 2 new 4K TV, 60" and 65" I think. Well, the store had several other Full HD. Keep in mind that I was there just to "count the pixel", I look and look, watched the infamous Corinhians Fifa World Championship, nature clips, tenis matches... It took me half a hour to figure out the diference and fix my eyes. I have to admit, when you notice where the diffenceis, you think "God 1080p is realy crap resoluiton "... Then I went lunch, and passed by another store, with 60" TVs, couldn´t tell it they where 4K or 1080p. |
I don't know if I get accustomed... I saw the difference fast in the stores or at my home. But I really can't tell looking at videos or images... I need to see the direct output to the screen.
To be fair I just started to see that after surgery... when I used glasses I can't tell too.
I had thought that Ryse, Ki, and Titanfall were confirmed 900p, and Forza was the only true native 1080p game. Nonetheless, I think it was also confirmed that all games would be upscaled on X1 to 1080p to help. On point, If Titanfall is running at 900p then CoD must be at least equivalent to it since it looks less demanding. Even with unoptimization, I don't believe this rumor at all.

Anyone playing a game would not know the resolution, ESPECIALLY if it is upscaled. That would make it even harder to tell the true resolution. So, since this is NOT a first party game, Penello has no right to comment, nor would he know what the resolution is. That's why all he says is his opinion that it looks amazing. Quit being so conspriacy theory-ish. |
Some can think that... I have the same feeling that Famousmortimer had... Penello confirmed the rumor... that's what I understand from what Penello posted.

regardless if the rumor is true or not somethings gotta be up why is the first gameplay footage shown on PS4? on a game that MS has had timed dlc exclusivity since mw2 and till this date i cant remember any pre release COD footage being shown on other than a xbox console

Play Me
Why is 1080p vs 720p such a big deal? I have a 26 in 720p tv, so I can't see 1080p. But does 720p on a 1080p tv look bad? Is this really enough of a reason to not buy a cosole?

Maybe in a 26" 1080p TV not but in a 51" 1080p TV... 720p looks bad.
What the biggest complain with PS360 games in big HDTVs? Aliasing becasue the low resolution... AA just help to fix that.
It's not the first gameplay footage. At the COD: Ghost event awhile back they showed live gameplay with two teams competing against each other.

First console footage.
It was running on PC since E3.

Could be for people that have 1080 sets that want to use it. Size of tv also comes into play and how far you sit from it.
What i found more interesting from the gaf thread is we are a month away from launch and the os is still buggy and freezing. That’s worse than COD being in 720.
