Rumors about it...

I think the full GK110 is coming.

That would make the most sense.  But I have three questions:

1) How much stronger could they really make it?

-We all saw how little a difference the extra 364 cores made for the Titan.  I don't think another 200 will change much at all.  Even with 7000+ GHz RAM and a higher core clock, I don't think we will see more than a 10% boost in performance.  At this point, will it even noticably beat the 290X?

2) Could AMD respond in kind?

-What's to stop AMD from releasing an Ultra edition of the card with a far superior cooler?   I mean a 10% bump in core clock and 6000 MHz memory should be easily doable if they give it proper cooling.  Plus there is the 290X Toxic edition to think about...

3) With the 290 possibly at $450 matching the 780, will it even matter?

-If the leaked benchmarks about the R9 290 are true, then we could see 780 level performance for nearly half the price of whatever the 780 Ti is.  It would surily be able to overclock to the 780 Ti anyways...

ZIf the 780 Ti is faster than the Titan, I don't imagine AMD responding. They never do that fast, it's usually nVidia that does that.

Well considering that it's probably priced near the Titan I don't thing AMD really have any reason to respond. Having the fastets card on the market is nice for marketing and all but honestly I don't think AMD is worried about that. Tho they could probably pull out a dual GPU version lol.

Lets not forget that the Geforce GTX 880 is less than 6 months away according to rumors... And the leaked specs show it's going to be a compute monster.

I read rumors about late 2014 because the dealy in 20nm.

Rumours I heard is that they are sticking with 28nm, but blowing up the TDP and die sizes to hit the launch window.

I can't see Maxwell being made in 28nm... so they will stay with Kleper.

A dual GPU with the 290 chip, not the 290X, otherwise we'll need our own nuclear plant to power it!

Please excuse my bad English.

Nah!

They will just bundle it with a chiller. Although that will make it the most expensive non-pro graphics card ever.

Nah. They could use the 290X if they wanted.
What would happen however is that the chips used would have to be binned for the lowest possible leakage so they could get away with the lowest possible voltages to fit inside the TDP target.
Plus they could lower the clockspeeds too, which would be similar to how the Radeon 6990 played out.
