Beyond Two Souls was one of my most anticpipated games of 2013 when I first heard about it, but I slowly started to lose intrest in it through out the year. I still think the game looks excellent and im really intrested in how Ellen Page does and how the story works out. I played Heavy Rain and liked it alot so I would probably like Beyond too but im not sure if its worth the purchase sooner or later. Its been getting mixed reviews  ( currently a 73 on metacritic by the critics and the Users! ). So I was wondering how the people that are playing the game think of the game? Is it worth the $60 or should I wait?

Very nice review! Intresting to hear that the story doesnt follow a timeline of Jodies life but more like differnt points in Jodies life put together. Not sure if i would like that, I figured the story would go in order from start to end. The gameplay seems to be peoples biggest problems I hear many complants on the QTE ( which I dont really have a problem with) and the new combat feature with jodie where you use the sticks. Every review I've seen has complained about it, I kind of wish they kept it like how Heavy Rain did it. Im curious though how long is the game? You said the beginign was slow and boring which I sort of suspected, these types of story driven games are usually slow in the begining  but I remmber Heavy Rain was slow for about 30 to 60 min before I really got hooked. How long did it take you to get hooked to the story?

Started playing and looooooving it so far!

Just finished it. THAT was one hell of an ending and one hell of an emotional rollercoaster.  I was sobbing at basically every scene near the end and Willem Dafoe once again was spectacular as he's been in everything I've seen/played with him in it.

Took 4-5 hours to get into it for me which is roughly half the game.

Playing it now. I'm extremely impressed. Glad I avoided all information about the game. Visuals are spectacular. Easily the best I've seen on a 7th gen console. I don't know where the "game" is going but I'm glad to be along for the ride. More movie than game, though. I don't know how much better graphics can get. This game is simply stunning at times....though that graphical standard isn't consistent.
