this is where things go wrong with Sony and Microsoft, gameplay is more important than how the game look. 60fps should be the first thing to get, not 1080p. Well done Nintendo, you always go with gameplay.

Killzone is both 1080p and 60fps for multiplayer...

Also 60fps is just as important to gameplay as graphics are...

At least your last sentence is true...

No 1080p and 60 FPS? Rageragerageragerage!

...wait a moment... this isn't CoD or a Nintendo system?

Carry on!

This is 1080p and 60 fps.

What is up with all these people getting confused?

"We didn't want to say, we can run at 60 constantly if we just half the resolution and take out all the destructibility and remove all the glass, for example. We didn't want to do that. We wanted to keep it really pretty and try to make it 60."

people should think about this statement if they compare other games which are 30fps against 60fps. if it really makes such a big difference even between constant 60fps or "60fps a lot of the time" you can imagine what it takes to have constant 60fps vs. constant 30fps between some games of the same genre.

Not even COD has a constant 60 FPS.

Doesn't cod average like 45-50fps on PS3?

I'm pretty sure they avoided multiplayer questions, including fps. Did they ever actually say it was 30?

Sony and GC confirmed a lot of times the game at 30fps... after Gamescom GG said they will try to aim in 60fps due players request in MP but they won't give certain yet.

Well from my experience the game was very fluid and there was very little drops in fps (apart from when I jumped on some guys head and killed him) but 90% of the time it was at 60 fps, btw this game is gorgeous and it performed and looked much better then battlefield 4 on xbox one and it was performing on the same level as call of duty ghosts, I can't wait to get my hands on this game now

I might get this game, I'm not sure though.

The PR speech seems more flawed than usual...

how much is "a lot of the time" ?
how large are large drops ?

is 80% a lot of the time ?
is 25 fps a large drop ?

In the event he stated that it'll be 60fps most of the time but there are certain situations that can happen where it will drop.  An example he gave was that If all 24 players were to throw 24 grenades and they all blew up at the same time, then it'd drop frames.  From what it sounds like framerate should usually retain 60fps.

He didn't say that grenade example, at least in this article.

I didn't read the article.  I watched the event, though the Killzone press conference is in the article.

I hope the drops aren't noticeable. I'm very sensitive to framerate drops, probably due to my extensive PC gaming

Yeah Im the same. I cant play alot of open world games on consoles because I notice the Framerate drop straight away. I hope PS4 we can get open world games running perfectly.
