How the hell do you guys manage? I've been modding and administrating sites (from 20 users to 35,000 users) for a decade and couldn't imagine not having a mod board at any of them.

Off site seems way too disjointed to be functional. No wonder it was abandoned.

Mostly we just go on AIM. Usually someone's on, given different time zones and the fact that some of us seem to never sleep. Kasz, Kantor, Torillian, and Trucks are on most often, with Smeags, Axum, and Kresnik in a second tier, and the rest of us appear on occasion. Generally we only consult one another on borderline cases or if we want to effect policy changes.

I dont recall getting any warnings ever. I guess I just play it safe with what I post since I enjoy being on this site and don't want to say anything that would get me banned.

We tried going IM only at one site and it just left too many of us out of loops that we'd normally be in if it were in a mod forum. Too many mods saying, "Oh, I didn't hear or know about that."
