Comparing pictures like that doesn't say much unless they are both taken under the same settings, and even than one camera might have better outdoor performance while another might have better low light performance. I don't know the full story here but there's always many factors to consider.



I was walking down along the street and I heard this voice saying, "Good evening, Mr. Dowd." Well, I turned around and here was this big six-foot rabbit leaning up against a lamp-post. Well, I thought nothing of that because when you've lived in a town as long as I've lived in this one, you get used to the fact that everybody knows your name.

Even my old shitty mobile(6mp) is making better pictures than that.
This is 100% amateurish.

I'm pretty sure all existing mid class mobiles can make better pictures.

Another problem: If you own a lumia(like those guys) you can change the parameters as you are used to handle it.
As soon as you have a new mobile and are unexperiemced you won't get good results.

It is better to wait for a serious test than this stupid double standard from guys even unable to shoot sharp pictures.


What people don't understand about the first 2 pictures are that it was a crop of an original image taken. Once the shot is taken, it is zoomed into a portion of the picture. Then presented as a crop image. This type of comparison shows how much detail is captured. Those two shots were also taken in low light with no flash. These are the original sizes that were used for the crop. They arent the original images I'm posting below, so they will both look like shit, I'm just proving a point:

 

A better explanation would be in the Lumia 1020 comercial. Snap and zoom. That is a crop.

Well, I for one am surprised by how many of us here have Lumias.

Hooray for us.

As for WP8 - it's stable, lightning fast and excels in basic tasks.

Most people I know who have used it for any decent amount of time - wouldn't want to switch back to sloppy old dirty Android.

But let the Hater Games continue......

These pictures are as fake as they can get. I have a Nexus 4 and that one has a much weaker camera than the Xperia model discussed here. I take better pictures with my phone than what you see here. So this is just absolute crap.

Someone is making false accusations to make one of the two products look bad. It's easy to take a bad picture with a good phone. Just take it really fast, and with the second one focus very well. Not a surprise to see some jumping aboard this and supporting it without knowing any better!
