ok, not black, but arabic.
i started playing shantae a few time ago in 3DS, and i love the 2 games, in both games shantae was an arabian, a mixture of colors.
But when i saw the kickstarted intro video, yes, the color made me not support, the white shantae made me feel "what they did to shantae?".

but now, the new paintins show her more brown, like in the other games, seems to keep the shantae the way i liked!
