Forums - Gaming - Criterion staff reduced to 16 as EA shuffles studio talent

More EA bias. So they're reallocating team members to work in different development studios. No one is losing their jobs. They might not need as many team members with Criterion now depending on what they're working on, they might need more team members on something else, maybe part of the team is working on the next Need For Speed with Black Box.

Leave it to the common internet fanbase to bitch about it anyways because "EA is the most evil company in the world!"

Around the Network

Just EA being EA.

Yeah how dare you disliking that EA tore a studio (that you aparently liked) apart and left it with such a tiny number of employees after EA has shown how great they handle their studios like Bullfrog and Origin Systems. Typical internet bias !

Yea I don't get what is so evil about moving developers (who presemably still want to work on racing games as that is what the studio did) to their new racing studio so that Criterion can work on their non racing IP. Seems like a good move for everyone involved to me. Surely a hell of a lot better than laying them all off well the core design team does pre production on their new game. And hell most of the people that were moved were already working with Ghost on the next Need for Speed anyway.

My feelings exactly. The studio is pretty much dead now.
