Experience, the developer behind Students of the Round and Demongaze, have been working on a new dungeon RPG for Xbox 360. The Stranger In Alda was announced last year with a 2013 release date.

The bad news is The Stranger In Alda won’t be released this year. The good news is the game isn’t canceled. The Stranger In Alda is scheduled for 2014, according to Famitsu magazine.

Western gamers will be able to play Experience’s dungeon RPGs in English when NIS America releases Demongaze in early 2014.

Demongaze Developer Looking For Monster Designs For New Dungeon RPG

Experience, the developer behind Demongaze and Labyrinth Cross Blood, is developing a new dungeon RPG for Xbox 360 called The Stranger in Alda. The game is still in development and maybe one of your idea for a monster can be in it!

Experience is looking for DRPG fans to submit concepts for a boss monsters for the end of the story, a top class boss for the middle of the game, a boss that has a unique fighting space like underwater or outer space, a flying or floating boss, a monster with scales, and "god" tiers for regular enemies. The game has different categories like human races, beasts, undead, spirits, demons, and divine.

So, we have confirmation that Microsoft hasn't given up on Japan. Very interesting. If it's anything like Demon Gaze, it probably won't cost very much. It will likely post small numbers but that also means it won't be much of a risk. Microsoft might even be willing to take loses in return for market- and mind-share, though it would surprise me if they pumped in the kind of money they did early in the life-cycle of the 360. We shall see.
