I just saw an Android version of this too. :/
ASUS is smart. Hit it all.
Good buy in my opinion. ASUS is a good manufacturer and their Android stuff has been great.

well after reading some articles I think if I read correctly the new atom cpu's are now as fast as a 7 year old core2duo.
The integrated graphics are around 1/4 of an intel HD4000.
So its fine for doing its everyday job like surfing, emailing, social media, skype, watching hd youtube videos, office.
You can also play small facebook and appstore games like solitaire and minesweaper, but no heavy games like 'minecraft' or more complex games.
I will get one for my mother as a present, because her pc is currently dying.
It's cheap, but has some flaws I don't like.
e.g only 2gb of ram, but this is due to the processor only accepting 2gb of ram. (non tablet version atom accepts 4gb i think)
also it only has emmc as 'harddrive' ... which should result in pathetic i/o rates, but ones the programs are installed it should be 'bearable' hopefully.
10.1" with 1366x768 resolution is fine for most, but some prefer a fullhd display.
Well for the price ... RIP MS Surface 2 if it really only has an arm cpu (tegra 4) and windows rt for like 400-500€
For me if there aren't better ones from other manufactures like dell, lenovo or so I will get this one.
MS should make the Surface 2 with the new intel atom and release it for 400-450€ and the Surface 2 Pro with the i5/7 one and this will become a hit.
