Forums - Sony - Problems with the Vita TV

I'd agree if they all came with a Dual Shock 3. Consumers have to choose to want to buy it with a DS3.

RIP Dad 25/11/51 - 13/12/13. You will be missed but never forgotten.

Around the Network

The lack of touch controls and a camera will limit the amount of games you can play. That can be fixed though
I think when people see these games stretched out on an HD TV they aren't going to look as good. This could hurt sales.

Seems odd, with PS4 having a mobile chip and now the VIta TV announcement it seems Sony is changing from competing with MS and Nintendo to Android and iOS.

I hope it takes off though. Vita isn't a bad platform and should be seeing better sales.

Good points, a couple of which I hadn't yet thought of.

really? i would imagine you have been racking your brain since you first saw it thinking of negative things..

OT: it looks awsome! im sure these software issues will be sorted and i think it will support DS3 & DS4

PS Vita TV WILL be compatible with DS4

I've mentioned this already but being compatible isn't the only problem, it's the fact that it's not being bundled or associated with the Vita TV. Selling a soon to be obsolete DS3 with the Vita TV means

1. A gamer that buys a PS Vita TV and wants to upgrade to PS4 at a later date can't use their controller.

2. That gamer can't bring his DS3 to play with their friend's PS4s.

3. The heavily touch-influenced UI will be bogged down by inpenetrablely lousy UI controls without things like swiping and scrolling. Navigating between the PS Vita apps and doing things like scrolling through a web browser will be clunkier than it should have been.

4. Associating the DS4 with the Vita TV is critical for establishing the PlayStation brand and strengthening consumer recognition or familiarity. You and I can tell the difference between a DS3 and DS4, but the mainstream consumer will be infuriated to know the controller they just bought for the Vita TV won't work for their PS4.

IT WILL BE RELEASED IN JAPAN BEFORE THE PS4, that's why they're making it bundled with the DS3

And come on if the person wants to stream it with PS4 games, when the person buys a PS4 he will automatically get 1 PS4 controller...

Anyway it's called PS Vita TV, not PS 4 TV... It's good to know it will work with BOTH controllers... probably will have a good Gaikai streaming service for PS3 in the following years!

SONY Bring them BACK for PS4 and VITA!
