Forums - Microsoft - Xbox One to 360 Communication Limited to Text Only, IllumiRoom Unlikely to be Greenlit

specially because there is no cross-platform gaming

Why do you and others keep saying this? MS has done cross-platform gaming before. The only reason they don't is because it is impossible to make the controller and the keyboard and mouse users equal in shooters. I see no problem with cross-platform for other gametypes though. MMO's, action/adventure, racing, etc. could be cross platform pretty easily.

IllumiRoom did seem a bit far fetched, especially as they are already going down the glasses route. Trying to get people to buy a projector as well wasn't going to happen this generation.

Oh well, there goes another chance for me to hate on a peripheral for a console I'll never buy.

Excuse me, I never said anything negative about the xbox at all. And you can take your comments elsewhere.

Illumiroom never really seemed that practical. It seemed like something that would be cool for a 50-100 add on, but it wasn't going to be feasible at that price.

Ah, I thought you meant with PC or something. I am not sure if they said that about 360 or not. Probably not for most games since the Xbox One versions will have more features among other things, but I could see MMO's and free-to-play being ok.

Hey that actually makes me wonder. Does the 360 version of CoD Ghosts get dedicated servers then as well? Same with games like Titanfall?
