Forums - Gaming - Do you use your middle finger for the second trigger button?

How do you hold your controllers?

I just noticed all these previews and such on the Xbox One and PS4 controllers and noticed all these guys using their index fingers for both L1 and L2.  This seemed very odd as I have always used my middle finger for L2 and R2 and my index finger for L1 and R1.  Which is more common?  Have guys ever tried my way or theirs?  Which comes more naturally to you?

using only the index fingers for both L1/L2 and R1/R2 is more natural to me, but in games which use the shoulder buttons/triggers alot I use the middle fingers for L2 and R2

I use index finger for all triggers, both RB, LB and RT, LT.

I use index fingers too, i just tried it with my middle fingers and it was weird

I always used my index fingers. It doesn't feel right with L and R with my index and ZL and ZR with my middle finger.

Index fingers... that really is the standard way.

I use the middle finger for L2 and R2 of course... I always thought it was meant to be that way.

Depends on the game but 90% of the time, index fingers!

depends on the game, but almost always just index. back in the xbox original days i would sometimes do the CLAW (i think thats what it was called)

on PS2 i used 4 fingers for the bumpers but with ps360 it feels awkward with the triggers. if they were still all single input im sure i would still be using 4 fingers
