Forums - Gaming - So how would you want a Handheld/console Hybrid to work?

Many people are guessing(and wanting) nintendo to do a hybrid next console for them. But the question is, how would you want it? Would you want it be a tablet with a box, and the tablet console is the controller? Or would you want it to come with a controller, so you plug in the console in the box and use the controller to play? ect.. ect..

How would you want it to work? Think price point as well and marketing

Around the Network

Do it like the 3DS/Vita or whatever and have a docking station for it. The docking station will be hooked up to your tv with a controller.

I suggested this here. http://gamrconnect.vgchartz.com/thread.php?id=150271

I would rather Nintendo had stuck with Motion Control for at least one more home console instead of going for the touch screen controls route they took with the Wii U. Don't think it's such great idea having two current Nintendo systems both using touch screen controls. But I believe Nintendo current direction is leading towards a handheld/console hybrid in the future though. I think it will be a long way off yet as geting the required spec vs cost won't be any time soon.

If they had tweaked the 2DS so it was also a Wii U Gamepad they would be done. Include that with the Wii U instead, as they aren't that dissimilar in price (I think).
