Forums - Gaming - Comparing Launch Window Games of X1 vs PS4 (Which Do You Prefer?) (Updated)

Launch titles for me are most just to hold up until, Naughty Dog, Media Molecule, Santa Monica studio and Polyphony announce their next gem games.

True for most, but I don't think that's true for inFamous Second Son or The Order 1886.  Ready at Dawn has been making this game since they finished the last GoW game on PSP and I think this game will be something special.  I know they have only made handheld games, but the games they have made are some of the best on PSP.  Also with inFamous Second Son it just flat out looks amazing, its not a place holder for a game, it is the game on PS4 as of right now.

Overall PS4, but the X1 has some good titles and I will definitely be getting Project Spark and Titanfall on PC. Crimson Dragon looks great too, I hope the game turns out a success.

Is sunset overdrive a launch game? just wondering.

I'm going ps4 all the way except for forza and spark. I also wouldn't mind dead rising 3, I'm just way more excited for the order

I'm pretty sure Sunset Overdrive is not a launch title.

No, I don't think there is a release date for it yet.

1. Forza 5 all the way here!
2. These are both close (meaning that I'm currently not all that interested in either of them) but if I had to pick one it would be Killzone
3. Knack wins this one easily. Rivals looks better then Kinect Adventures did though
4. Definitely Ryse...I am so pumped for this game!
5. The Witness looked pretty good so I'm going with that one
6. Ugh. Neither of these
7. Dead Rising 3 looks quite good so I'll go with that one.
8. Project Spark wins by a country mile. It looks so fun!
9. I don't like fighters so I guess Resogun wins by default.

Overall it's a tie between the X1 and PS4 (strictly looking at those games listed in the OP).

1.Forza
2.Titanfall
3.knack
4.Second Son
5.Crimson Dragon
6.Lococycle
7.Dead Rising 3
8.project spark
9.Killer Instinct
So 7-Xbox 2-Playstation
I have to say I'm not excited for any of these games...

Out of the big games that you people (yes you) care about, xbox wins.

If we remember that indies are real games too, PS4 dominates.

1 - Forza 5. Older franchise so it will be more polished, though I love the racing club concept behind Driveclub.
2 - Killzone all the way. Not only do I love the Killzone universe but single player is why I play FPS games.
3 - Knack
4 - Crimson Dragon, though I don't know much about either, so that could easily change.
5 - inFamous without a doubt. Ryse gameplay does not excite me at all.
6 - LocoCycle ... though I can name a dozen indie games on PS4 I'd rather have than either of them. You should have picked the two best indie games from each, yo.
7 - Order 1886.  Dead Rising does nothing for me.
8 - Abstain. I know nothing about Spark.
9 - ResoGun. Defender!! I think KI is a good game for Microsoft's launch but I don't really like 2D fighters.

I am pretty biased towards Xbox since it has been all that I have played for the last 11 years but the best lineup has to go to Xbox one.

- Ryse looks amazing
- Forza is shaping up to be a visual stunner
- Project spark could provide essentially years of fun (if the developers keep updating the game)
- Dead rising 3 is looking like it will be a introduction into what open worlds we can expect in the new generation

The rest of the games i am looking forward to are multiplats but none the less, I think Microsoft have nailed a good launch line up.
