A good portion of them have been in attack mode against the X1 and Wii U because that's all they really can do at this point because for all of Sonys talk, they have nothing to back it up.

Surely Sony has the most to back them up? Their console sales range from 79m (and counting) to 158m. MS has never made it to this range, and they have never been as low as Nintendo at 22m.

MS doesn't have a country to back'em up and ditch their competition.

Do you remember this thread? It was shown the only significant bias was the pro 360 bias in NA.

Unless the entire console market has shrinked, yes, but the rate should be around the same. There is zero reason to own a Xbone outside the USA.

I don't agree. I want to own an Xbox One and I'm from Spain. And no, it has nothing to do with brand loyalty.

I always give people this link to reflect on this matter.

If Sony consoles had sold 1 million tops in US, I would reconsider my opinion.

You have the right to like whatever you like. Do you have a reason other than liking it ? very unlikely. but just for fun let me paste this since you mentioned you are from spain and that reminded me of this song.

I'll let this pass since it's Serrat what we're talking about here xD

X1 is in a good position now.

The battle has turned around for sure! xbone does indeed have the more versatile line up. They dont have anything for me apart from Forza 5 but even a sony fanboy can tell they have a better line up.

In saying all that MS really hurt the xbone before the u turn, it'll do better than the 360 but not the ps4.

Halo and Gears haven't even shown up to the party yet.
Now imagine if MS stopped jerking around and announce Conker, Banjo, Crackdown and PGR for the 2014-15.

You really shouldn't begin talking about IPs.. SCE has a lot of surprises to come from Naughty Dog, Polyphony Digital, Santa Monica, Quantic Dream, Media Molecule, Guerrilla Team 2 etc.

He said 1:1 in NA, which I think is going to be about right. Did you mean EU?

I know what he said/meant, but my opinion is 2:1 in the US, at least for a while (just taking VGC pre-orders, @ 600K vs 350K, PS4 looks poised to be ahead for a while). In EU, I think it'll be higher than that most of the gen.

In truth, however, even if it is 1:1 in the US, that's still more of a win for Sony than MS. In the 7th gen, it was nowhere close to that, and for Sony to have turned things around, and being on top right now, is a bigger feat for them. 1:1 in the US means a definite victory over the X1, WW.

True, if that is the case for the whole gen, PS4 will have it easily. But I think the MS marketing machine, as well as the games, services, etc will win over the NA market and in the end I think we will see similar results to last gen. Europe and Asia will be big challenges, though.

I think if MS starts their $300 subsidized model plan for the Xbox One at sometime in 2014 (or whenever console sales actually start to slow down after the hardcore are done buying the initial releases), that erases the only remaining advantage for Sony being their price. If they do some sort of subsidized plan world wide, it could be a major game changer, especially if it the console is bundled with multimedia packages for free or other types of plans (bundled as your set top box for cable companies or whatnot).

Going by pre-orders, I think the Xbox One will still catch up by quite a bit in time for launch, unless MS limits their pre-orders due to supply being reached. They've already sold out almost everywhere in store and only have some places to get it online, so unless MS has a much smaller supply available at launch, they will start off pretty much the same.
