He further states that the company’s goal is to reach a total of 2.8 million units sold after seven months of Monster Hunter 4’s release. On the 3DS, this shouldn’t prove to be much of a problem, as Monster Hunter 3 Ultimate alone has sold over 2 million copies on the platform, despite being the third version of Monster Hunter 3, handsomely beating Capcom’s original forecast for the game.

This surprises me....the goal is to sell -only- 2.8 million after seven months?
By comparison:
Monster Hunter Freedom 3 sold 2 million copies in it's first week (Japan only).
The game sold 3 million copies in it's third week!
At launch PSP's user base was 16 million.
When MH4 launches 3ds' userbase in Japan will have reached 13 million...
I say this game will sell 2.8 million copies in it's first month - or am I overestimating the sales potential of MH4?
I can't see why Capcom doesn't expect so sell really big numbers...will they undership the game?
