I know that Kinect isn't a very popular topic and most people seem to hate it, but I think that it actually has some potential to be useful this gen.  I'm kind of excited to see what it is capable of.

I know that it won't ever be able to be used to exclusively control core games, but I believe that it can probably compliment the experience.

So what do you look forward to seeing with Kinect 2.0?  What do you think it's potential is?

I like the facial scanning I saw in Kinect Sports today. I think Kinect 2 will really be great for those subtle enhancements.

I do hope they support it with non sport/dance/party full kinect games tho.

Some things I look forward to, they may seem minor but I think it just shows some of Kinect's potential.

Extensive voice controls, xbox on, xbox pause, xbox volume up, etc

Skype, your playing games and you can be skyping with your family or friends, I think that's cool.

Navigation of webpages and menus with motion control, I'm thinking how you control your phones you can zoom and scroll very smoothly.

I'm think of how cool and immersive it would be if Kinect reads your eyes and body movement in a game like Forza and and your camera perspective would change

Also it would be cool and simple if your watching a movie and you can just get up and the video would pause.

Yeah, just watched the facial rec video on another thread and it was pretty cool. Just taking the face scan and implementing it into some multiplayer games would be pretty cool. I also wouldn't mind if you could use it as an additional controller thay acted like a headset that you could call in aerial support. You know, some type of actual voice interactivity while you were still playing on a battlefield or whatever.

Like Seece said i think it has a very good chance at subtle enhancements. Keep the controller with physical buttons and make games better with kinect games.

Though Kinect still has a huge advantage when it is used in party games like Just Dance and Fantasia.

Kinect 2.0 will just do what the first kinect did, but better. Only new things really are tracking the controller like PS4 and heart rate.
