Forums - Gaming - Thinking Of Swapping My PS4 Pre-Order For An XBox One

bad choice.

PlayStation is about the long-haul, you are not just investing in it for its first few years, but its entire life-cycle which will be filled with impressive games.

plus, we get inFAMOUS which looks like the only true next-gen game i've saw (those particle effects...)

Translation = I know the Xbox One looks better now, but Sony promised...THEY PROMISED!

P.s.  The meltdowns in this thread are hilarious.

OT:  Most gaming media are acknowledging that all other issues aside, the Xbox One has a better looking library atm.  Do what looks best for you mate :)

So it makes sense to buy it in a few years (PS4)

Infamous is kinda unecessary with Saints Row 4 and GTA5 covering our sandbox needs.

You could use that line for pretty much anything. On any console.

Yeah but the thing is, Saints Row tends to score as well or better than Infamous, and GTA5 smashes them both.

I've beaten both Infamous games, and they're fun.  So was Crackdown.  But they just aren't compelling as system sellers with Saints/GTA floating around.  You wont lose out on Sandbox whichever way you go.

Go for it. Anything that makes you happy.

Don't blame me or everyone else if you regret your decision once Sony brings out their exclusives to PS4.

Lmao, nobody buys Sony "exclusives."

If all the other two have to offer are better particle effects and "the cloud," I'll happily stick to my Wii U where the next-gen innovation is actually tangable and easy to see like in Splinter Cell Blacklist. The XBO and 360 need second hand periferals like Smart Glass and companion apps to even remotely and second-ratedly replicate the innovation found natively on the Wii U.

Oh please... how many times do they have to fool you until you learn?

When making a 400-500 dollar/euro investment you must think in the long term and not what is out in the next 3 months. Do you really trust microsoft after all they have done? Ryse is plagued with micro-transactions. Killer instinct is half finished. They had lots of good titles on the first years of the 360 but after that they went the lazy route with 3 yearly franchises.

But oh well... its your money.

MS could use a sale.

Xbox One exclusives look good and Microsoft controllers are second to none. I wouldn't blame you for that decision.

They are? Care to share, because I've seen, roughly, the same amount of praise for both line-ups. It's been the most extreme fans that I've heard say otherwise.

They are - and i posted about it - care to share sources stating both line ups are similar ?

Where are your sources? I've seen none.

I could go on, but no need. The general consensus is that some prefer the X1 while others prefer the PS4's titles. There's no universal acceptance that one is better than the other.

By definition, baring some ability to quantify every single element of gaming media in the world, neither one of us can objectively win this argument ;)

I don't think it takes an 'extreme' fan to look at the launch lineups and recognise the strength of the X1's.  Take the OP for example.

Here is the post where i quote the infamous famousmortimer :

http://gamrconnect.vgchartz.com/thread.php?id=166398&page=1

Just checked your first source and it doesn't even mention line-ups. WTF is that ?

Your christian post amateur is unable to distinguish launch titles, indies, within one year titles, and undated titles. Are you sticking by that source really ?

Your Forbes article is an unknown contributors' blog. Are you sticking by that source really ?

I'm fed up babe.

Oh, I'm not looking to "win" anything. I'm merely pointing out, based on observation, a disputable exaggeration on your part. In regards to your second bit - I think there are strengths to the PS4's line-up. Many agree. Doesn't mean that's a universally acceptance stance, though.

Actually I have a reputable source which in dept not only declares the X1 has the winning launch line-up but that Sony is actually making it a startegy to save money on the launch titles.

If you have something else than amateur bloggers and USA Today Sunday edition type of article to contradict famousmortimer. Something which actually substantially makes the case by examining in depth, it would be a contribution.
