Lionhead has posed and dodged the question of a Fable Legends release date, stating merely that beta-testing for the Xbox One exclusive will begin in 2014. The studio has also hinted at a number of "additional projects in incubation and experimentation", but insists that Fable Legends is "the near exclusive focus of our studio and its development staff".
"We are happy to be able to announce that the game is in development, but we aren't yet able to announce when Fable Legends will be available," reads a FAQ on the developer's forum. "The development team is hard at work building characters, creatures, quests, and everything we need to bring Albion back to life.
"We will release new and more information about the game on our website, including opportunities for beta testing the game in 2014," it continues. "Make sure to sign up to be kept in the loop as we will release more information throughout the coming weeks and months."
