So I've been scratching my head at this countdown that randomly appeared and has caught my attention. It has the L4D3 logo, valve and STEAM BOX logos on the bottom, and if you turn off music and re-select it, it plays a familiar, yet new tune.

I'm not sure whether to believe this or not,  I JUST REALLY WANNA SEE WHAT HAPPENS WHEN IT REACHES ZERO.

Some things I have noticed!

- Left 4 Dead 3 song is 1 minute and 10 seconds long, and is on repeat.

- Music starts after selecting to turn off volume, and then enabling it.

- The volume button appeared recently.

- Countdown ends during GAMESCOM.

- Countdown started on July 22, 2013 at 12:00 AM.

- Clicking on logos lead to MOSTLY unavailable websites.

- The game's code was recently leaked.

So....seems legit?

That 3 is for Half Life 3

It's happening but this site looks fan made.

Huh? Why it says 2 days on mine?

Well either way, this can very well be fake. Making a web page with a countdown and a bunch of images is very easy to do. When it comes to Valve games I don't believe absolutely nothing until I heard it from them.

Maybe different time zones? Plus, I remember Valve saying that if they were going to release Half-Life 3 (or any game in the future), they were going to do it their special way. Maybe this IS the special way.

Exactly. That proves this is false, when it comes to countdowns and reveals they stay with a single time zone, or at least, good programmers do it that way. It doesn't make sense that people in Australia will know the reveal 24 hours prior to America for example.

Currently mine says 01:23:08:52. Yours is at 02...? And we will know the truth in 2 days.

Mine is an hour more. What region are you? I'm mountain time.

This is completely false. I changed the date of my PC (to the 12th of August) and now it says there are 9 days left. So yeah, either the programmers at Valve suck or this is false, I'm going to guess it's the latter.
