Nintendo, no doubt.

Nintendo definitely. They saved the gaming industry, started the handheld industry. Brought a bevy of different genres into fruition, and created the most popular video game character of all time. All this while making some incredible games.

That being said, Sony deserves ALOT of credit. Dual analog, discs, media on consoles, and making one of the greatest consoles of all time in the PS2 by bringing together some of the best developers in the industry.

Microsoft is still new, but they did push online to where it is today. Kudos on that, without microsoft, online would suck.

Sega did some stuff, but I don't know much about them.

Nintendo.

I can see why you asked this question but nothing even comes close to what Nintendo has done for gaming. They've saved gaming from becoming irrelevant, created the face of Gaming(Mario), and bought video games into the mainstream media. I'll definitely give sony credit for making video games become more accessible for the adult gamer. Made and bought in quality games. They created many new ips in each generation they've been. As much as I dislike Microsoft they deserve credit for bringing us awesome online gaming and Halo. Each of the big three have contributed so much to the industry and I believe they are all here to stay for a very long time maybe hundreds of years or thousands (maybe I'm getting carried away.) !

Lol. Obviously Nintendo. The PlayStation would have never existed without Nintendo.

However, there is no contest Nintendo, the godfather of gaming, the head at the table for vg thanksgiving, the oldest of the big three, the one has the most loyal fans through thick and thin, the ones that have been down and almost out and triumphant more times than any other company making video games has contributed the most to gaming.
