I don't know about that. If someone is promoting an opinion and they have previously stated the exact opposite, I see no reason not to call them out or to claim it is off topic. Their opinion is part of the topic and how valid their opinion is seems perfectly reasonable. We can question anything but the cred of posters?

Isn't that in part what the monthly ban list does? What need do you have to take that responsibility upon yourself? So, you derailed a thread to publicly shame someone?
