Forums - Sony - PS4-exclusive Killzone: Shadow Fall pre-orders outpacing Forza 5 and Ryse - Analyst

If you read the article properly then this is actually pretty good news for the Xbox games....

3 decent performing games v 1 in pre-orders.

3>1

It's good for Xbox One that one game on the PS4 is selling just as much as two games on the Xbox One combined?

Besides, Killzone Shadow Fall might be selling better than the Xbox One exclusives, but the multiconsole titles are selling better than Killzone.

Btw.  Titan Fall isn't listed.  They mentioned Watch Dogs, Battlefield 4, etc, but the grey shooter isn't listed.  Did Microsoft waste money buying timed exclusivity?

Personally I'm getting BF4 with my PS4 then maybe Knack. I'll ask for Watch Dogs and Killzone for Christmas. Was gonna get KZ and BF4 but didn't want to jam 2 FPS games into launch. The only reason I'm getting BF4 first is because it'll be the only thing I have till Christmas so I want to have a MP centric game that'll keep me occupied and I have at least 3 friends getting it with the system that I'll be able to party up with. Not to mention with Beyond, Ratchet Nexus, GTA5, Puppeteer, KH HD, and all the free plus games I'll be getting this Fall (Driveclub plus an indie for PS4 alone at least in the first 2 months of its release) I won't really have time to do too much next gen but I'm too hyped to not get it.

Warden of Platformers

I preordered KZ, but like others have said why would i preorder drive club, its mostly free and even if it turns out to be an extended demo, id still wait and play it first to see how good it is. 2 Games for launch day is enough for me.

That said ill probably get Watchdogs as well, but i would of been getting that anyway on PS3 or PC if PS4 was not out.

This is kind of meaningless either way when so many people are choosing multi-platform titles as their first game. Besides, tons of people aren't buying the systems for these games in particular, but rather for future titles like Infamous or Halo. Using this particular bit of information as fanboy ammunition is kind of silly.

Still, nice to see Killzone doing well, and Ryse is doing better than I would have expected.

DriveClub is almost free, i don't expect it to sell much at retail.

So a well established shooter franchise outsell a racing sim and a new ip on a more preordered system.

Is anybody truly suprise?

Forza is a well established racing sim franchise for Microsoft! Also Killzone is well established but the overall sales of the game sin the franchise are way lower than Forza!

Told you - KZ:SF is going to be bigger than the previous entries. Expect 4M sales.

Well to be fair, the Xbox titles have a lot of competition going on amongst themselfs.

Killzone doesn't look amazing but it stands head and shoulders above what I've seen from Knack and DriveClub. Not to mention most people will probably just get the PS+ edition of driveclub.

Glad to see my favorite shooter franchise is doing well
But it does seem that the ps4 Launch line up for retail games relies more heavily on 3rd party... Warframe and planetside 2 should be awesome though

Are you surprised they're surprised?
