My guess, they can't produce enough ram to meet demand, EU and Japan launch delayed into 2014, U.S 2013 holiday as promised.

That would be beyond disastrous. I don't think this piece of news is as bad as the writer of the article would like people to believe. If it was I think he'd post the article right away before waiting for Sony to comment.
