I love To the Moon. I wish more people played it.
loved Paper Mario: TTYD and especially Super Paper Mario's stories. what? a Mario game with an actual story? what is this blasphemy?

There is plenty of competition! Some of my favorite games last year were indie (Hotline Miami, TWD (not quite sure if this classifies)) and then there is always Minecraft, Braid, Bastion, Limbo, Journey etc. etc. |
Agreed. To the Moon has a fantastic story but some of my favorite games this gen is indie/arcade including Trials Evolution, BattleBlock Theater, Castle Crashers, Minecraft, Bastion, and Fat Princess.
| pezus said: Yeah, I forgot Trials even though I bought it recently! I also forgot some more really fun and fresh indies like: Super Meat Boy, Shatter, Orcs Must Die 1+2, Torchlight 1+2 (this is indie, right?), Trine 1+2, World of Goo, Amnesia: Dark Descent, Superbrothers, Killing Floor. Seriously, there are a LOT of indie games out there. Dismissing them all as bad or whatever, to me, isn't justified. |
Maybe it was unfair of me to dismiss ALL of them.
I simply failed to love Braid, Trine 2, Super Meat Boy, World of Goo and Limbo. TWD wasn't my cup of tea either and I have not played Journey.

But that's okay, I mean. If we all had the same tastes, the world would be pretty boring!
If you own a WiiU, try Little Inferno :3
I agree. It doesn't take a big budget in order to tell an amazing story.

A remarkable experience. Heart-breaking, touching, intelligent, well paced, brilliant score.
Definitely shouldn't be missed.
