Phil Spencer@XboxP3@Nicodemus9 Our internal KI team is still here and franchise is in good hands. We had a plan in place for this transition.
KI is considered a popular franchise? I wonder who the partner will be.

Yeah, Its the most downloaded thing on Xbox Live. Followed by Xbox Fitness.
How would a android based console help Amazon? The money they surely make from selling consoles, games and accessories must be insane. The effort of developing a console, then putting on the market to compete with the big 3 seems like they're headed for a bad time.

Yeah not sure, even though Kindles have been around for a while, how are they doing compared to iPads and Galaxy Tablets? They have to be thinking of something big for a console.

They should have taken note from the Ouya!
Why would they use Android for a console.... It's a dinosaur, the most u optimized OS since vista... And they want the most hackable console out there... Who they think gonna buy that??? Even the Wii kidults customers don't fall in there customer base...
I really wonder what's their big plan... Cause its not like their is room for 6 console (xb,PS,wiiu, ouya, steam, amazon)
I can see them trying to compete with steam model... But who da fuck gonna switch?? Again not same customer base... I'm really circumspect on that one..

From the sounds of it, MSFT kept the KI team from Killer Instinct. Remember they also had Rare members working together with a group that they hired specifically for KI. In this case it would be likely for that team to go to Rare or form their own studio. Just my take on it though. Either way, MSFT said KI is fine and that the team is not changing, even saying once that they kept the internal KI team is still here.
