Microsoft Allows NFL Draft to be Streamed to Xbox with no Cable Subscription
In a continuation of their $400 million partnership in 2013, Microsoft and the NFL have updated the league's Xbox One app to allow Xbox Live users to watch live coverage of the NFL Draft from the NFL Network.
While this isn't the first time the draft is streamed to the Xbox One, it is the first time Microsoft and the NFL have made it open to all Xbox One users regardless of if they have a cable subscription to the NFL Network or a premium Xbox Live Goldmembership.
As with most things related to the NFL, the NFL Draft is one of the most popular sporting events of the year and is viewed by many as the first big event of the upcoming NFL season. According to Nielsen, last year's draft was watched by 45.7 million television viewers over the course of its three days on ESPN, ESPN 2 and the NFL Network.
"We know the football fans are really excited about the draft. The draft is one of the most highly rated television shows, not sporting events, on TV," says Jeff Tran, director of sports marketing and alliances at Microsoft. "And so we're really excited about being able to bring the draft to Xbox One fans and users without needing a cable subscription or satellite subscription combined with all the features we got."
In addition to being able to watch the draft live, Microsoft has added video highlights of players as well as live polls so you can see how others feel about your team's pick.
The app also features a Draft Tracker that can be "snapped" to the side of the screen and function as an updating ticker, allowing users to play a game or watch television while still keeping an eye on who is going where. Microsoft is quick to highlight this as being particular useful on Saturday, which is the third day of the draft but a day that also features NBA and NHL playoff games, MLB rivalry games, the Kentucky Derby

I got all the way to #2 rank Jay. By the time I wake up I'll probably be 10th or so but I don't care. It would kinda be me fraudulently holding top spots. I'm nowhere near as good as the top guys. My Jago needs a ton of work. I have match-up problems and my bad games are very bad. Very

Hey youre ranked up at the top xD It shows the dedication youve put into it. And really, 65% and 85% isnt that big of a difference. Work a little more and you could reach that level and go in tournies. I mean these guys play thousands of matches, so if you put in the same time as them you could get close to them and actually compete :D

343i Aiming Really Hard for 60fps Across All Game Modes in Halo 5: Guardians
343 Industries is aiming really hard to make Halo 5: Guardians a stable 60fps on all game modes.
Halo 5: Guardians’ studio head, Josh Holmes, has now spoken out more on the game’s development on the TeamBeyond forums. There is a huge goal for 343 Industries to make the game 60fps on all modes.
He said: “Frame rate in beta was only partially optimized and Strongholds was the worst case example. The engineering team is united in their focus on delivering stable 60fps across modes for launch.”
Holmes also talked about balancing the visual fidelity of Halo 5: Guardians. A fan was worried the game could get “cluttered” with too many details shown on screen. Holmes replied that 343 wants to “deliver a more detailed physical environment that maximizes the capabilities of the Xbox One while retaining clarity of image and the ability to follow the action“. However, they will make sure there is a good balance that the visuals don’t interfere with the gameplay.
