Ps4 is officially cheaper to buy with that $340 + $20 gift card + free game.... Can't wait to read 10+ threads about how much money they are losing, and how desperate they are.

Yeah, how much you wanna bet we barely see any posts or threads about how much this new bundle is costing Sony, compared to tons of posts and threads about how much money the Xbox One bundle is losing? Lol.

I hope you realize that is a retail specific deal. It's not Sony doing the deal, it's Target.

Is it? Well nevermind then. What about the deal at Amazon, is that retailer specific as well?

No idea about Amazon one, but I think for it to be an actual bundle/deal by Sony it would have to be in pretty much all the stores. Similar to the GTA V + TLOU bundle they have right now. If you go to Best Buy, Amazon, Target etc they all have that same deal because it was made specifically by Sony.

When only one retailer has a bundle/deal on a console (Like the 340$ one) then it was the retailers decision to do that (to be more competitve)

:O Costume Quest for $10 is tempting, Loved the first one but I kind of regret spending $15 on it.

Might get this.. really want Child of Light to go on sale...

You have to remember, when retailers ran similar deals on the Xbox One a few months ago it was routinely cast as a 'desperate fire sale.' On VGC there is a monumental double standard applied by the PS majority.

That's cool but what does it have to do with me? I'm just letting him now it's not an official bundle/deal made by Sony.

I don't think they were having a go at you. Just explaining the context within which such bundles have previously been viewed by major populations of this site.

When you see deals like these at various retailers, they are collaborations between the retailer and supplier. Target is going to get compensated for every console they report as sold during this promotion. Same as Walmart with the $50 gift cards for PS4's and 3DS XL's. Games work the same way.

It's not any sort of official bundle, but Sony has a hand in this. November was good for all gamers. Now even hesitant PS4 owners have a new digital bundle and all sorts of deals at various retailers as a result.

I was hoping to get an Xbox One by the end of the year but most likely have to wait till tax returns which kind of bums me out since I don't think they'll be anymore AC bundles or deals like there is now :(

I wouldn't be surprised if they extend the $350 price permanently, PS4 has already proven that it can stay in the lead when both consoles are priced at $400, and MS wants to at least win in the US this generation. I also wouldn't be surprised if MS does a bundle for Evolve in February, so there might just be some Evolve bundles at $350 still when tax returns come.

I hope so. The thought of going from the 2 AC game bundle + free game for $350 to a gameless console for $400 would make me sad. I really didn't want to buy any new games till I got the One but since I have to wait a couple more months I'll need to pick up a game. I'm thinking of DA:I or SoM. Which one would you pick first?
