I like how they added the inspiring speech showing they know they made a mistake but theyre making amends

Do any of you view the Halo forums, I just looked at them for the first time and the passion for Halo is crazy. What I have learned though is that the love for Halo is still there and 343 has to impress with this beta. Even the most hardcore Halo 1-3 gamers, are skeptical but open. If 343 can nails the beta, I think Halo 5 could be restore the Halo community.

The deal grants purchasers a game with a value of up to $59.99 if they buy one of the three following console bundles:

  • Xbox One with Assassin's Creed Unity and Assassin's Creed 4: Black Flag for $349
  • Xbox One with Kinect, Assassin's Creed Unity and Assassin's Creed 4: Black Flag for $449.99
  • Refurbished Xbox One with Kinect, Dance Central Spotlight and Ryse: Son of Rome for $399.99

Microsoft is offering a choice of 20 games, including recent releases like Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare, Halo: The Master Chief Collection and Sunset Overdrive.

The sale is part of Microsoft's 12 days of deals promotion running this month. It began at 8 a.m. ET, and the Microsoft Store offers free shipping and free returns.

Got this from Yahoo. Interesting deal for those who haven't picked up a bundle yet. I don't even have a Microsoft store near me as far as I know.

Why is tomb raider news coming back up again? Its giving me deja vu. We literally had these same exact arguments 4 months ago over the same statements (except people refused to believe MSFT was publishing)

Oh that's funny because I just came here to ask about Tomb Raider xD I think you should leave the room Jay, this might upset you! jkjk

But I really do have a question, if MSFT is publishing the game, does that mean that it has exclusive rights over that specific game meaning it can only appear on PC and Xbox consoles? Dead Rising 3 never showed up on the PS4 and I assume they had a similar deal. Just curious because my friend is in *I hate Microsoft for ruining Tomb Raider for me* mode :P

It has exclusive rights for however long the contract indicates. Mass Effect 1 was published by MS and eventually ended up on PS.

I never knew it was published by MS but then again I was never into the franchise. How long did that contract last?

Edit - I just accidently found this on my news feed. Not sure if they are simply using this as click bait or whatever but thought it was worth sharing. From http://au.ibtimes.com/articles/575417/20141210/xbox-one-exclusive-rise-tomb-raider-street.org#.VIh_4ck-cnI

The source got in touch with the developer, who had confirmed Microsoft's role in releasing the series. "Microsoft has always seen huge potential in 'Tomb Raider' and they will get behind this game with more support across development, marketing and retail than ever before, which we believe will be a step in continuing to build the 'Tomb Raider' franchise as one of the biggest in gaming," said Square Enix in a statement to IGN.

This bit of news is not something fans have not heard of before, as earlier this year, it was also announced that there is an exclusivity deal brewing with "Tomb Raider" and Microsoft. However, this was solely a timed-exclusive one, which still meant that PlayStation fans will still get to play as long as they wait for the title to debut on Sony's consoles.

It appears now though that the deal has change. Microsoft even reached out to Eurogamer to explain how the mechanics of the new deal will go. From the looks of it, "Rise of the Tomb Raider" will be on the same plane as "Dead Rising 3" and "Dance Central, where Microsoft has partnered with the developer for exclusivity. It's currently scheduled for a holiday release in 2015.

Stop using Mass Effect as an example, it is a rare case.EA bought Bioware after 2007, all the following ME games were multi so instead of keeping ME1 exclusive MS just let EA have the ME1 rights back.

Edit: Just read Dex's post looks like Tomb Raider will be Console exclusive with the game coming out on PC like a year later.

My top games of the year

1.Sunset Overdrive
2. Watch Dogs

Remakes
1.MCC

That's all I've played so far... lol

Mass Effect is a terrible example for multiple reasons.  It took 2 Mass Effects and 6 years later in the trilogy edition after EA had bought Bioware.  If Microsoft got exlusice rights for Rise of the Tomb Raider for 6 years then yeah that would be a major win for Microsoft.
