MS should pull the trigger on MK. It doesn't sell as well as SF but it has a community as big in the West and a foothold on EVO.

It wouldn't be too smart of Warner Bros to leave out the biggest fanbase of MK.

Business 101, GUARANTEED money is better than potential money.

Money isn't everything they will lose with such a deal. They will also lose potential future customers which in the end will cause them to lose money as well. That is what will happen with Tomb Raider, its bound to go downhill from here.

Wouldn't be surprised if it was a Japan PS4 exclusive

SFV or Super SFV?

Money isn't everything? I'm sorry, these are not non-profit organizations. Tomb Raider will be fine and possibly sell just as much as the previous release.

As I said they will ultimately lose out on money due to many of their fans moving on to other games. There is no way Tomb Raider sells 7 million+ units on XB1 alone, probably not even half of that, when most of its fans are on PlayStation and on Xbox it has to compete with Halo 5.

No Man's Sky looks good.  Im super excited for it and have made that obvious but i highly doubt it would ever come close to being as big as Minecraft.  Minecraft is on the calibre of a Mascot like Mario.  Unless No Man's Sky can sell over 50m copies this isnt even debatable.

I believe it is the opposite. That's just forum logic, because if a game is well made, there will always be audience and potential increase on it's install base.

Xbox had a good size of fighting game community, with the introduction of KI, it grew bigger.

So will Street Fighter go downhill from here on now?

I'm hearing the big No Mans Sky news is Sony buying Hello Games. Not 100% sure though

That is literally a pointless purchase.

I just dont get it... unless it is very, very cheap.

Think about Microsoft buying Minecraft. That was an indie game that exploded in popularity and then Microsoft bought it for a tonne of money.

It's looking quite likely that No Mans Sky will do well, so buying them now will be significantly cheaper than buying them after they become succesful. Besides that, Sony may well have other plans with the franchise outside gaming (just like Microsoft and Minecraft).

No Mans Sky is no Minecraft.  Minecraft is a phenomenon and a standalone business in its own right.

I may be wrong but I just dont see this as a sensible buy.  Buy exclusivity sure... but leave it at that.

If I was the developer though I would bite Sony's hand off at the elbow.

You're trying too hard lol, the devs know how much Sony will be willing to spend on them. Also if the devs are bought they will likely survive to see another day even if No Man's Sky fails to sell well.

Why would a TPS compete with a FPS?

Have Gears ever competed with Halo? It doesn't make sense.

I will say i find buying Hello Games a smart buyout if it turns out true. They have shown they can make quality games and i dont think they would cost much. Low risk, high reward in my opinion. Think Press Play and Twisted Pixel

It seems you didn't get me exactly. The MAJORITY of Tomb Raider fans are on PlayStation, while the minority of Street Fighter fans are on Xbox. So while Tomb Raider will be badly affected Street Fighter will not.

Also, Street Fighter V doesn't exactly have much competition, while ROTTR has to compete with Halo 5 on Xbox One and Uncharted 4 which is a similar series but is better recieved by critics.
