As you can tell from our review for Ryse: Son of Rome, we very much enjoyed it. However, I thought I would make another article just to restate how great the game itself looks. From my experience so far with next generation games, Ryse: Son of Rome stands above the rest graphically. Due to the controversy of the game being 900p rather than the previously announced 1080o, many might be surprised to learn that the game looks as good as it does.

While most other launch titles on the Xbox One and PlayStation 4 do look very good, this one does truly Ryse to the occasion. The locations are gorgeous and perfectly crafted to the times, especially when being destroyed by attacking forces. The destruction you will witness throughout the game is consistently smooth as well.

Perhaps the standout graphically is the look of the characters themselves, with the best job of lip syncing that I’ve personally seen in a game. The movement of the characters, both in cutscenes and gameplay, is fluid to where you can definitely tell they spent a lot of time perfecting the art.

In terms of visuals, I must say that Ryse: Son of Rome has the best looking graphics on consoles to date where the promise of next-generation visuals can be seen. The moment you see the intro, your jaw will drop as it will give you the feeling you are watching a movie – perfect blend of light and shadows, realistic terrain and environments. — Mark Fajardo, Editor-in-Chief

If you have an Xbox One, Ryse: Son of Rome is one not to miss out on. The combat may be a little repetitive, like most games in this genre, and it is relatively short, but Ryse is worth at least a rent just to see how it looks in person.

Right Microsoft listen. Please Bloody listen. Make Banjo - Kazooie 3. Not Nuts and Bolts, not some Mario Galaxy clone. I want a game in the vien of Mario 64 and Banjo - Kazooie. I proper old school platformer with gorgeous Xbox One graphics.

Don't give 2 craps about the gaming media reviews. They will hate on it anyway, Cause its not a shooter, and not on Nintendo.

Just give us old school Rare fans what we want. Banjo 3.

Also a successor to Conker Bad Fur Day. Another proper platformer with all the filth added in.

Killer Instinct is the best fighting game Ive played in the last 10 years. Keep going on that road. Double Helix? Buy them. I love them for Killer Instinct.

Also Please please please revisit Jet Force Gemini. Please disregard the pitiful excuse for gaming Journolism that exists today. I will buy thousands of copies If I have to.

KI is great, isn't the best fighter in the last 10 years tho (maybe from you have played it is). Buying DH woul dbe a mistake, KI is not a game that can come out every couple years, and AFAIK if it sells well they will be making DLC for for a couple of years anyway. They've still yet to show their worth, one good game doesn't make up for a tonne of bad ones!!

Also thinking MS are burnt from their last purchase (Twisted Pixel) who aren't delivering at the minute.

Yeah I didnt enjoy Street Fighter 4 as much as I anticipated. Didnt like Soul Calibur since 2. Not a huge fan of Dead Or Alive since 2 either. Also really dont like Tekken. Mortal Kombat new was fairly good. Also couldnt get on with Blazblue. So tried a few. I just really enjoyed Killer Instinct from the off. I probably helps the originals were my faves back in the day. But the new one just feels such a good progression from them. Love it.

Its one of the best launches Ive ever had. N64 takes the cake though.

Even though I like Conker more than Banjo id say I want banjo more because I dont see how they could ever follow up with Conker. Plus Banjo is a lot more popular.

Put Conker Live & Reloaded on XBLA though damnit -_-

No after playing Ryse, I can say they wont tone nothing down. First time I saw Ryse, I was like wow that was pretty violent. Eww ok, this is 100% not going on in front of my daughter. LOL.

lol as we were speaking about Conker I just bought Live & Reloaded for $35 on Amazon xD Finally will be able to play it again. Thankfully it has backwards compatibility for X360

They will most likely add that at some point.  As Ive mentioned before I like the X360 dashboard more so i hope they readjust the XBO dashboard including friends list and achievements.

Interesting. I prefer the way it is now. Easier to navigate. I like the Pins to. Prefer less tabs.

But then again I pretty much use voice for everything.

I use voice for everything as well and i do love that aspect of it but overall the dashboard itselfis missing things like Avatars for example.  Without voice i find it difficult to navigate compared to X360.  X360 i could just press a button and get to my friends and send invites to people through party etc.  On XBO you have to go all the way back to the dashboard to do stuff like this instead of getting the minibox to popup.  I dont like that.
