Microsoft Enhances Graphical Power of Xbox One by Overclocking GPU (Photo: Reuters)
There has been a sturdy competition between Xbox One and PlayStation 4, the upcoming gaming gadgets by Microsoft and Sony. Until now, Sony was leading in terms of the GPU, but now it appears that Microsoft is back in the game with an overclocked GPU that will enhance the graphical power of Xbox One.
Marc Whitten, vice president of Microsoft revealed the details on the famous Nelson podcast, and explained that the company has been working on improving Xbox One every day. He also said that Microsoft will make the changes as per the requirements.

"An example of that is we've tweaked up our clock speed on the GPU from 800MHz to 853MHz," Whitten said.
The American multinational company has also been keeping a track of all the complaints that the fans have been making, one of which was about the GPU speed being lesser than that of PlayStation 4. The step taken by Microsoft to increase the GPU was smart, as lesser GPU could have resulted in a sales disaster later on.
Microsoft's latest update proves the dedication the company has towards its products and customer needs. It has also ensured that it stands at par with Sony's PlayStation.
The specifications of the consoles appear to be very similar with both the devices reportedly using AMD's Jaguar processor, reported Tech Radar.
While Sony still carries a better internal storage capacity, Xbox One has Microsoft's cloud service, which would decrease the load off the hardware.
Marc Whitten also revealed that Xbox One has now stepped into internal beta and the developers will have direct access to the development kits. He explained that Microsoft's "mono driver" has now been 100 percent optimised for the Xbox One hardware.
"Since E3, we've dropped in what we internally call our mono driver," The Guardian quoted Whitten. "You start with the base DirectX driver, and then you take out all parts that don't look like Xbox One and you add in everything that really optimises that experience. Almost all of our content partners have really picked it up now, and I think it's made a really nice improvement."
While patrons will probably stick to their favourite brands, each console has its own strength and it is hard to say which device will be better with features being added each day.
