Yeah they got a short term exclusive deal so isuppose i thought they published it for some reason.  505 Games published it though.

My point still stands however.  Microsoft and Sony has been experimenting with a lot of new ip's lately and Microsoft has even invested in new studios which are bringing loads of new ip's.  Rare is even working on a new Ip so im not sure what people are complaining about.  I know Nintendo doesnt do very mew new ip's but Sony/MSFT has been doing a decent job with it lately.

Another thing is theyre also a wide variaty rather than one genre but yeah you get what im saying :)

Microsoft Press Play is Working on Multiple Projects and Has Complete Control of them

In a recent interview with OXM, Lasse Jacob Middlebo Outzen, the lead artist over at the Microsoft subsidiary, Press Play, confirmed that the small development company behind such games as Max and the Curse of Brotherhood have a bevy of brand new IPs on the way.

According to Press Play’s PR statement, the company has “full control of its projects,” which is a dream come true to the creative types like Outzrn. This creative control apparently comes without the supervision of Microsoft, which is surprising. But hey, they said it. Why would they lie?

Outzen spoke to the prevelance of indie gaming, and the dawn of a new era that isn’t just focused on violent shooters:

“I think it’s changing, actually. I think the whole indie scene has done quite a lot to move the industry away from that. I think a lot of the big players are realising that as well.

“I don’t think it’s necessary any more, and I think a lot of gamers are attracted to gamers like this. A lot of the big players have been too focused on guns for quite a long time.”

Max: The Curse of the Brotherhood will be available tomorrow, December 20.

The game's set to cost $14.99. If you've never heard about it before, check out the latest gameplay trailer below.

Originally announced earlier this year, Max: The Curse of the Brotherhood is the sequel to Press Play's 2010 title Max & the Magic Marker. This time, he’s on a trip to save his brother, who he accidentally banished to a fantastical world. It’s all very Labyrinth.
