Hopefully at least one of those Lift London games is going to be unveiled at VGX on Saturday.

I'm a little skeptical of Lift London to be honest.  Making 4 games at once and claiming they are of AAA quality without the budget is a little far fetched to me.  I hope I'm wrong and they make a really good game, but I am definitely skeptical until i see some footage of all 4 games.

You may have missed where they said they're redefining what AAA means. In this case, it doesn't mean huge $$$ production, it means Minecraft, State of Decay ect.

Not sure how big those teams are, but games that size don't require as many people.

Well that is what i mean when i say they aren't talking about budget.  They are talking in terms of quality.  I do hope they turn out well, just skeptical since i dont know anything about them and that seems like a lot of games to be working on all at once.

isn't lift London a hive though... with pretty much indie dev teams selected and finance by MS separately ???? so it could potentially have 100s of game in dev without impacting one another since they are completely different teams and projects not related to each other beside being hosted and financed by MS???

or do I confuse that with an other MS project???

No.  Last I heard it was a small team (less than 50 people) working on connected devices.  It is a for sure thing that whatever they are making is going to be on tablets but it has been heavily hinted that it will be cloud based games that can move back and forth from Computers, Tablets, and Xbox One.

ok I see... I just went on there website and I like the art of the characters they have.... I think they could produce games with bastion quality which in my book is a rather good reference for arcade or f2p games.... we'll see but I think they could surprise with original content... plus they have 4 projects in the works... but the time table for each might be wide spread with only one of them releasing every year....

any way no matter what I like the direction MS is taking with first parties and 2nd parties.... hopefully the new CEO won't be a complete retard and break all the good work that has been done.... because people are talking about the Xbox division.... but what happens to everything else once that division is terminated or sold ??? I think a lot of people that talk about cutting the XB division beside the fact that they absolutely don't get the potential XB has for MS on the long run to increase their market for other division as consequence... they also have no clue what would be the wide range implication for MS and are basing their decision only on financials... thankfully it is only smaller shareholders that have than line of talk not the majority.... and I don't believe Elop to be a good match for MS CEO position... I don't know why but I'm pretty sure it will be an in house VP that will get the position... since the ford CEO already said he was unlikely to go....

anyway here is to hope Ms does the right thing and keeps expending its gaming division with good strong first parties....

quick question did any of you put the Kinect 2 on top of the TV ??? and if yes which stand did you get ???

ID@Xbox Gets Revealed

http://www.ign.com/articles/2013/12/04/microsoft-reveals-idxbox-devs-divekick-coming-to-xbox-one

Iron Galaxy's 2D fighting game Divekick is coming to Xbox One, as is Shoot Many Robots, and a ton of other games from notable developers both small and large. "And let me emphasize," said Microsoft's Chris Charla, "this is just a sampling of the many developers who are part of the program."

Ryse: Son of Rome and Crysis developer Crytek (which recently employed God of War's Todd Papy) is pursuing self-publishing on Xbox One via Microsoft's ID@Xbox program, and Drinkbox Studios (of Gucamelee fame) is currently developing an Xbox One game.

Xbox One will soon welcome games from Double Fine, Team 17, Ninja Bee, Zen Studios, Panic Button, Definition 6, Zeboyd Games, Signal Studios, Half-Brick, Inis, Comcept, Behaviour Interactive, Team Colorblind, Double Eleven, Slightly Mad Studios, High Voltage Software, Gaijin Games, The Men Who Wear Many Hats, Way Forward, Other Ocean, Jackbox Games, Hidden Path, Happion Labs, Capy, The Odd Gentlemen, and Nicalis.

Based on that enormous list, it's possible this means we'll see The Broken Age, Mighty No. 9, Guacamelee, Super TIME Force, Warhammer 40K: The Eternal Crusade, Spy Party, Worms, Zen Pinball, Cosmic Star Heroine, and other known quantities coming to the next-gen console, in addition to other unannounced projects. These development teams will bring their games to Xbox One in "early 2014," Charla said.

Microsoft and Unity recently joined forces to make Unity free for Xbox One developers in 2014.
