Wasn't the Wii in short supply for nearly 2 years? Didn't hurt it. |
we all know the Wii case is a huge exception... most of that demand where "new gamers"... they were surfing on the motion crase... and it wasn't directly competing with PS and XB per say.... that's why you had Wii60 and PSWii combo owners a lot last gen
and you just had 2 console at launch... one high end visual gaming and one really aimed at a wider range of players types and age... my local retirement house had like half a dozen Wiis for the grand kids to play with their grandparents during visitation they even had that in their activity curcicullum with bowling tourney and all....
here PS and XB launch together and are vastly similar in appeal to the common gamer looking for classic gaming (outside of PC) the problematic is way different IMO... or at least as a marketing professional I see MS and Sony customer base crossing over each other way more than with the Wii or even Wii U customer base.... a little like Ferrari customer base might cross over more with lanborgini than with a mini van or suberban car brand....
anyway this is the XB nation
