Excellent first week IMO. But what's up with the PS4 drop? I would have thought they'd be closer to 200k not 100k.

As I mentioned above PS4 is extremely limited in America likely due to them focusing on europe.  Our black friday we had 6 PS4's and roughly 30-50 XBO's.  I expect this to go on for a week or two.  Maybe even three.  XBO actually may Catch PS4 in America by 2014 if it is as limited as it appears compared to XBO in america.

Either way, Ps4 will outsell XBO world wide no doubts.

I wouldn't be so sure about outselling world wide for the holliday season... not that demand is not higher for PS4 it is more than likely higher... but I'm not sure they handled their stock/shipping properly or at least they might have diluted it too much globaly.... shortage might be an issue for PS4 compared to XB being focused on 13 countries... we might end up having XB one being first ww come january after that PS4 will gain control fast unless XB surfs on momentum and titanfall grabs a lot of people.... but as I stated before launch I'm sure both console will be closer in sale than ever before in console wars....

I would suggest don't quote VGC number in this tread. We know it is not accurate...

oh and I'm following the French launch and apparently a lote of stores didn't even receive stock from what customer said.... got a friend that did 9 stores in my city which is a top 10 urban area in the country and either they had very little stock and it was gone or didn't receive any (for non pre order at least) according to his report and I read the same info on Playsatation France facebook page comment..... and as French people a lot are pissed directly at sony for not providing stock in sustainable quantities....

once again to me it looks like Sony might have shot too large in terms of launch countries to stock ratio.... well anyway we won't know who did the best bet and how it worked out clearly until next year.... and it is pretty irrelevant to me at the moment (still waiting answers to my questions :D) it will be fun for sales challenge though... not like last gen that got interested only in the final years when PS3 caught up with XB

You do realise if they sell 3million world wide it is still the same number as 3million in NA. Spreading the launch wont stop them selling more. Having less supply is the only thing that can do that.

thank you I know that... that's why I specified shipping.... transit is to be taken into account.... pre orders will be filled but beside that other buyers want stock in store.... if they can't ship in time they might lose that customer.... that's where dilution of stock is relevant.... and transit time.... and it is yet to be proven that MS will have ship less stock than sony...

what I'm trying to say is constent availability or at least redundant in 13 countries might be better for your sales than shortage lasting too long.... a lot of casual customer are not dead set on which console they will buy like we are for some of us... which can make it an issue for Sony if MS ends up being more readily available... that's how you build momentum.... if timmy and tomy wanted a PS4 but couldn't and timmy got an XB one instead maybe tommy will get one since his friend got one.... right now it is not down to stock per say it is down to image and momentum you can build in those countries you launch in.... I'd take 1 million sale in 2 countries launch over 1 million diluted over 10 countries any day when it comes down to image and momentum.... now we'll see how patient people are...

Wasn't the Wii in short supply for nearly 2 years? Didn't hurt it.
